1. The service
isthisai ("we") offers a free tool, including the X account @isthisaivideo and this website, that estimates whether a video was generated or edited with AI (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these terms.
2. Estimates only
Every result is an automated, probabilistic estimate. It may be wrong, including labelling real footage as AI or AI footage as real. A result is not a statement of fact about any video, person or event, and it is not legal, journalistic or professional advice. Do not use a result as the sole basis for any decision, accusation or publication.
3. Acceptable use
Don't use the Service to harass anyone, to misrepresent a result, or in breach of the rules of the platform where you use it. Don't attempt to overload, reverse-engineer or abuse the Service.
4. Content you point us to
When you ask about a post, we process the public video in it as described in our privacy policy. You remain responsible for your own posts.
5. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We may change, pause or stop the Service at any time.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to US$100.
7. Changes
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Continued use means you accept the update.
